In a notable political move, David Arore, the Ijivitari MP and prominent opposition figure, has joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP), which is the third largest party in the Marape-Rosso government coalition. The announcement was made at a ceremony this afternoon at the Hilton Hotel, where Arore was officially welcomed by SDP Party Leader and NCD Governor Powes Parkop. The event was also attended by Deputy Party Leader and Defence Minister Dr. Billy Joseph, along with several other SDP members. Arore's addition to the party increases SDP's total membership to seven. It was disclosed that Arore's decision to join SDP was made independently.
