![]() NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Gideon Ikumu said investigations will commence immediately, to ascertain how four dangerous criminals escaped from the Boroko cells today. Two of them identified as Patrick Gonopa 25, and Murphy Miro 31, both from Kairiku, Central, were chased and recaptured by detectives, as they were attempting to flee into the East Boroko suburbs. A detective involved in the recapture said, they heard the metal gate clanging at the back entrance of Boroko cells and saw the inmates running away towards Boroko market. The policemen sprung into action by chasing and recapturing Gonopa and Miro.
Mr Ikumu said, Robert Junior, a male adult and Saku Eve aged 21 escaped undetected, and are still at large. All four of them were armed robbery suspects detained by police, the Metsup said.
