Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has assured that workers superannuation contributions will not be directly impacted by the notion of ‘super tax’ on dominant industry players like Bank of South Pacific and Digicel. There follows numerous criticisms and concerns from concerned citizens and superfunds in the country. Mr. Marape says the government needs revenue from such taxes to ensure vital developments in the country going forward.
